Tote Bag Sale
Chloe Kim, a grade 12 student at Walnut Grove Secondary, has developed a strategy and product to help support our Food for Thought Program. She has orchestrated the design, purchasing and marketing of an eco-friendly tote bag that is for sale throughout the school district and community.
Bags are $10 each. All proceeds go to support Food for Thought Programs for Langley students.
"I wanted to show the nostalgia of growing up as a student in Langley, and experiencing the wonderful aspects unique to our area. For me, it was adventuring through the bush with my school friends and playing down in ravines! Our imaginations stretched the afternoons into whimsical expeditions, and those memories are what inspired my design for the Langley School District Foundation tote bag."
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
No child can concentrate, learn or achieve on an empty stomach.

When the foundation learned that more than 3,000 of the district's 19,000 students were coming to school hungry every day, it reached out to the community. The response was both surprising and heart-warming, as Langley individuals, associations, businesses and corporations rallied. Thanks to their generosity, we now have breakfast, lunch, snack and backpack programs in many of our schools. But we have a long way to go, with more and more students needing our help.
