Langley students, parents and staff helped raise over $15,000 at the Second Annual Gift Wrapping fundraiser at Willowbrook Shopping Centre

FOUNDATION EVENTS
It's a Wrap for Langley students

The Foundation held its 2nd Annual Gift Wrapping fundraiser at Willowbrook Shopping Centre from December 1-24, 2011. Parents, teachers, students, principals and school district staff wrapped more than 3500 presents and raised over $15,000 for school programs.

FOUNDATION FUNDING IN ACTION
The Foundation, through its fundraising activities and endowments is able to fund innovative and unique school programs and projects that would not be funded by the Ministry of Education. Every Spring and Fall, the Foundation asks schools to submit proposals for projects that they would like to receive funding for. Last year, the Foundation made grants totaling more than $250,000 to support 40 unique programs.

RECENT NEWS
The Langley School District Foundation has received support from a number of corporations and associations, including McDonald's Restaurants, Willowbrook Shopping Centre, ParkLane Homes, Resource Training Organization, Langley Times, Langley Rotary Clubs, Peninsula Runners, Otter Co-op, Kins Farm Market and Meridian Meats.
